The Value of a College Minor

In this course students will be given a practical introduction to the basics of art through creative studio activities involving the elements of art in a variety of media with two-dimensional projects. 课程费用:50美元. This class is offered each spring semester.

This studio art course will introduce the basic approaches to observational drawing in a variety of media, 方法, 和 subject matter through lectures, 示威活动, slide presentations, 工作室画画, out-of-class drawing, 草图, 和批评. 课程费用:50美元. This class is offered each semester.

This course will provide an introduction to printmaking media with an emphasis on experimentation through techniques such as the monoprint, 救援, 和丝网印刷. 先决条件: 200年艺术201年艺术 or consent of the instructor. Lab fee is required. This class is offered alternate years in the fall semester.

This course will introduce students to the concepts, 材料, 和 方法 of sculpture as creative ideas are developed in wood, 粘土, 石膏, 找到对象, 和纸板. Principles 和 use of equipment, material sources, 和 safety factors will be addressed. A lab fee is required. This class is offered alternate years in the spring semester.

  • ART 341: Ceramics I

This course will introduce 粘土 from the process of construction through the completion of a finished piece using the following 方法: pinch, 线圈, 板, 轮, 和装饰. A lab fee is required. This class is offered every semester.
